Cookie policy

A short page, because there is not much to say. Two cookies keep the site working, one optional set counts page views, and you decide about that one.

Your setting

Change your choice

The setting is stored in this browser only. Clearing your browser data resets it, and the banner will ask again.

Note. This site is a demonstration build with no analytics wired up. The table below describes the cookies a live version of this service would set — have a lawyer review it before publishing.

What a cookie is here

A small text file, or an equivalent entry in your browser's local storage, that lets the site recognise the same browser between page loads. On this site nothing in that file identifies you personally. Booking data lives on the server, not in a cookie.

Strictly necessary

These are set regardless of your choice, because the site cannot do its job without them. Under EU rules they do not require consent.

Name What it does Lasts Set by
moe.cookie-choice Remembers whether you accepted optional cookies, so the banner stops asking 12 months This site
moe.session Keeps your half-finished booking together between steps Until you close the tab This site
moe.csrf Protects the booking form against forged submissions Until you close the tab This site

Optional: analytics

Set only if you choose “Accept all”. They tell us which museum pages are read and where people abandon the booking form. Addresses are truncated before storage, and we do not build profiles or share the data with advertisers.

Name What it does Lasts Set by
moe.visit Counts a visit once rather than once per page 24 hours This site
moe.journey Records the order of pages within a single visit, without an identifier 14 months Analytics provider

Third-party content

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and they receive your IP address. No cookie is set by that request. If you would rather avoid it, a browser extension that blocks third-party font loading will do so — the site falls back to your system serif and sans-serif and remains fully usable.

We embed no advertising pixels, no social widgets and no session-recording scripts.

Turning them off in your browser

The controls at the top of this page are the quickest route. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — usually under Privacy and security. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will break the booking form, which is the trade-off.
